Seems the previous clue was no challenge for you guys, so let's see if I can make this one a bit more interesting. You're going to work a little bit of math to get this one. The next clue is ciphered and I've used a simple substitution cipher, based on a number (called the key), to write it.

So you understand what this means, here is an example: suppose you know the key to your cipher is 4, then you would substitute the letter A by the fourth letter in the alphabet, D, the letter B by the fifth letter, E, the C by the sixth letter, F, and so on and so forth. So, instead of HELLO, you would write KHOOR. If it helps, you can tell me how you would write GOODBYE in this cipher in a comment, and I'll tell you whether it's fine.

Now, for the actual clue: GUR PBHAGEL JURER V JNF OBEA VF N ERCHOYVP. And to get the key to the cipher: multiple the amount of divisors the number 120 has by the tenth smallest prime number, now add the digits of the result and use that as your key.

Esta es la lista de los ejercicios sobre números decimales que tenéis que hacer en Khan Academy:

• Decimals on the number line 1: tenéis que colocar el punto naranja en el número que os indican o señalar qué número representa el punto naranja.
• Decimals on the number line 2: hay que colocar el punto naranja en el número que os indican o señalar qué número representa el punto naranja. Cuidado con la escala.
• Estimation with decimals: redondear números decimales usando problemas.
• Adding decimals: sumas de decimales.

As promised, here's the first clue. These are pictures of all the cities where I've lived for more than six months:

If you click on the slideshow you can see a bigger version.

So, your first task is to find out the names of the cities. I suggest you start with the country, it should be easy, if you look at the pictures carefully.

ETA: This is what we are gonna do, write an entry here telling me what country you think each picture belongs to and I'll tell you whether your guess is right or wrong. When someone has the six countries right, I'll give you the next clue.

En esta época del año es imposible evitar oír villancicos allá donde uno vaya. Tanto si celebráis las navidades, como si simplemente tenéis oídos (como yo) cuando vais a comprar, aquí va mi favorito:

Está cantado totalmente a capela (no, eso que suena de fondo no es un instrumento, sino uno de los cantantes) y la verdad que no estaría mal escucharlo de vez en cuando en lugar de "En el portal de Belén". Alguien debería decírselo a Mercadona ;-)

Cómo crear tu propio blog II

Ahora que todos os habéis creado vuestro propio blog, hablemos un poco de qué hace que un blog sea atractivo y agradable de leer:

1. Lo primero es que sea fácil de leer. Para ello es importante que el diseño cumpla varias cosas:
   • Los colores tienen que tener un buen contraste. Si hay que hacer un esfuerzo para distinguirlos, no solo es malo para la vista, sino que también desanimáis a los lectores de seguir leyendo.
   • No usar colores "chillones", como los colores neón. Puede que estén de moda ahora mismo, pero nada que haga fruncir los ojos a los lectores es una buena idea.
   • Tampoco es recomendable usar letras que parpadean; es cierto que funciona muy bien para llamar la atención, pero una vez se ha leído, distraen demasiado. Es mejor usar otros métodos para resultar la información importante.
   • El negro o un color muy oscuro como fondo para letras de color claro puede funcionar, pero hay mucha gente que lo odia. Por otro lado, el blanco puro como fondo en una pantalla también cansa mucho la vista así que es mejor usar un sustituto; este blog, por ejemplo, no tiene el fondo de los textos blanco (código #ffffff), sino #fcfbf5.
